Q: Does Oprah know about your book?
A: Judging by the letters and e-mails we receive from people who have read our book and felt the need to contact Oprah, I can only guess she has at least 500 copies in her mail room trash bin! So the answer is, if she doesn't know about it she has a wall of insulation around her thicker than a nuclear reactor!

Q: How can we help Miss Debbie’s cause for homeless?
A:
Get involved locally both financially and as a volunteer when available.   We are not trying to take money out of local communities.  Support those who are called and trained to work with the homeless. For those of you who feel compelled to make donations to the Union Gospel Mission in Debbie and Denver’s honor the address is:
The Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County, c/o Don Shisler, PO Box 2144, Fort Worth, TX 76113

Q: What do I do if a homeless person asks me for money?
A:
If God puts it on your heart to respond, then give them money and don't judge them for what they do with it...that's God's job and you will receive the blessing.

Q: Are you still in the art business?
A:
Yes, however my son Carson, runs that part of my life as the book now dominates my time.  We are always interested in buying and selling museum quality paintings and sculptures by American and European Masters of the 19th and 20th Century.  We are not a gallery and therefore, we do not represent any living artist or give advice to artists on how to market their work.

Q: Are you writing another book?
A:
Yes.  Our new book - What difference do it make? is now available through Amazon.com and various bookstores.  It contains bits of Denver's wisdom and inspiring stories from our readers in connection with the first book.  Also, I am currently working on a manuscript that chronicles my adventures as an art dealer.    Back to SAME KIND OF DIFFERENT AS ME; the paperback version came out on March 13, 2008, and has photos and a Reader's Guide that were not included in the hardcover.  With the overwhelming sale of it, we made the New York Times' Best Sellers List for the first time in March, 2008, and remained on the list for over 132 weeks.  In February, 2011, we received the news that SAME KIND OF DIFFERENT AS ME had sold over one million units.

Q: What happened to the Calder Sculpture?
A:
It is now in the Olympic Sculpture Park in downtown Seattle, a gift of former Microsoft executive Jon Shirley, and his wife Mary.

Q: Where are Ron’s children?
A:
My son Carson and his wife Megan and my daughter Regan and her husband Matt all live in Dallas.  Regan and Matt have two daughters, Griffin, born December 28, 2005, and Sadie Jane born May 25, 2007.  Carson and Megan's first baby, a daughter named Kendall Deborah Hall, was born November 27, 2007, and their second daughter Whitney Campbell was born August 2, 2011.

Q: Where do I see and purchase Denver’s art?
A:
"Aunt" Vida sold over 120 pieces of 'Denver's Art' from this website before it got to be more than she could handle with all of her other duties.  So something had to go...the bookkeeping and speaking schedules or D's art...Ron chose D's art.  Denver's art is currently handled by Caroline Crockett Kneese through The Cerulean Gallery.  His paintings can be seen and purchased online at www.theceruleangallery.com.
